Your data, your call
Here is how to access, export, or delete your data in Blurt, and how to turn off the things you can turn off.
In the app, open Settings → Delete Account and confirm. This marks your profile as deleted in our systems, erases locally stored app data on your device, and signs you out. You can also delete the app itself at any time, which removes all local data immediately.
Email blurt.today@gmail.com with the subject "Blurt data request" and include your display name and the Apple ID you use with Blurt. We will verify the request against your account before responding, and fulfill verified requests within the timeframes required by applicable law.
Blurt uses pseudonymous product analytics (PostHog) to understand feature usage. Analytics is not used for advertising and is never sold. To opt out, email us at the address above and we will stop processing analytics events for your account.
The daily-question reminder can be turned off or rescheduled in the app's Settings → Notifications. You can also disable Blurt notifications entirely in iOS Settings → Notifications → Blurt.
Camera, microphone, and photo-library permissions are requested only when used and can be revoked at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security. The core question feed works without them; recording an answer needs the camera and microphone.
For any privacy choice not covered here, email blurt.today@gmail.com.
